Emergency Management Specialist The position has responsibility for the performance of assignments in all four phases of emergency management: mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. This position manages the inventory, equipment calibration, equipment repair and all response and annual reporting documentation required by North Carolina Emergency Management, FEMA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for the Radiological Emergency Protection program. Considerable tact and courtesy must be exercised in frequent contacts with County, municipal, state and federal officials, partner agencies, and private citizens.
