Emergency Planner (Safety Coordinator) This newly-created position is part of a three-person Security and Preparedness Team and will coordinate utility-wide activities related to hazard mitigation, emergency preparedness and response, incident management and recovery. This position will report to the Preparedness Manager. Position is responsible for the utility’s Emergency Management Plan content, revisions, updates and new initiatives; leads, coordinates and/or supports periodic review, development and maintenance of about two-dozen additional and integral utility, site-, operations- or topic-specific emergency plans that satisfy regulatory requirements; and works with staff to prepare and submit agency’s annual Tier Two report as federally required. In addition, the position leads and coordinates preparedness-related training development and delivery to agency personnel (including advanced FEMA NIMS/ICS training for management, high-level supervisors and program managers: and, organizes, coordinates, supports, documents and evaluates utility and inter-agency emergency training drills & exercises.
