JOB OPENING: North Carolina Division of Emergency Management
Community Development Specialist/Public Assistance Liaison (multiple temporary positions)(*) This position, Public Assistance Liaison, is located in the NC Emergency Management Recovery Section, and the role of the liaison is to advocate on behalf of the Public Assistance applicants (local cities/towns and county governments and certain non-profit agencies) behalf to ensure all eligible damages are identified and documented for reimbursement through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance Program Project Worksheet. Additionally, the liaison is responsible to resolve issues between the applicant and FEMA and bring any unresolved issues/concerns to the NC Deputy Public Assistance Officer.
