Emergency Management Planner I (i.e. “Western Branch Multi-Hazards Planner”) Responsible for assisting the assigned homeland security planning in the western region of the state; to include 34 counties and the Eastern Band of Cherokee in North Carolina Division of Emergency Management’s Western Branch. This planner will assist the Western Branch Office with day to day grants and planning as needed; to include extensive Federal Nuclear facilities planning for two nuclear sites ORO. It will also assist with threat, risk, vulnerability and capability assessments. Other duties include coordination of preparedness planning efforts, assisting in regional capability planning activities, ensuring that all entities within the region adhere to homeland security grant time lines and serves as the regional point of contact for homeland security grant programs.
