Fire Marshal Investigates suspicious fires; investigates reports of environmental threats; provides fire and rescue technical consultation; manages the county fire records management system; administers compliance of the county fire contract and meets with local and state officials and to plan, coordinate, and stay abreast on new techniques and equipment, works to influence standards, policies and regulations. Prepares annual budget; develops standards for response, training and safety programs and develops education and information programs for civic groups and the public.
