Emergency Management Communications Officer The primary job responsibilities of the Emergency Management Communications Officer include the identification of emergency or disaster situations occurring throughout the state, and coordinating response activities involving state resources. The EM Officer collects, evaluates, and disseminates complete and accurate information regarding potential, current or on-going emergencies and disaster situations and takes necessary action to ensure the safety of the public. This position works closely with State, Federal and Local agencies and conducts briefings to State, Federal and Local officials, to include the Governor's Office.
