JOB OPENING: North Carolina Division of Emergency Management
Community Revitalization Manager This is a management level position with overall responsibility for a team of four Community Development (CD) Program Specialists supporting communities impacted by Hurricane Matthew. CD Program Specialists provide local governments with guidance on the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program and serve as representatives of the Division of Emergency Management CDBG-DR program in their assigned communities. The Community Revitalization Manager will have day-to-day responsibility for managing the CD Program Specialists, maintaining awareness of the status of projects in the affected communities, completing milestones and tasks on time, and complying with applicable state and federal regulations/policies. The above time-limited (temporary) position is offered at a flat-rate of $69,177. Although the length of time that the position will be active cannot be guaranteed, it does have the potential to extend up to 3+ years (36+ months) in some cases. This position is exempt from protection under Chapter 126 of the North Carolina Human Resources Act.
