Spring Conference Presentations:
The North Carolina Emergency Management Association wishes to “Thank” the members of the
Training Branch of the North Carolina Division of Emergency Management
for both their conference audio/visual support and their acquisition of the below PowerPoint presentations;
we really appreciate their assistance.
We are working with the presenters of the “Technology Solutions & Geospatial Situational Awareness for Field Response”
session to acquire a copy of their PowerPoint presentation slides; once acquired, the slides will be posted to the website.
No slides were used the “A Day in the Life of an Emergency Manager” session;
but we will be posting presenter contact information here shortly.
Spring Conference Photographs:
We want to “thank” the American Legion Steve Youngdeer Post #143 Honor Guard
for their participation in the “Presentation of Colors Ceremony”
during the Conference Opening Ceremonies.
Josh Turner (Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians’ Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator)
provided an official “Welcome” to both the conference and to the local community.
North Carolina Emergency Management Certification Presentations
During Tuesday evening’s “2022 Spring Conference Banquet,” the North Carolina
Division of Emergency Management awarded several emergency management
certification levels; recognizing individuals’ efforts to strengthen and enhance
the professional competencies of themselves and their local emergency
management agencies. We are very proud of each of the award recipients……
William Holt (Watauga County) and Kathy Delk (East Carolina University)
received their “Executive Level” certification. In addition, an “Associate Level” certification
was awarded to Dale Chandler (Stanly County) and accepted by Robin Shaver.
