Opening Ceremonies
We want to “thank” the American Legion Steve Youngdeer Post #143 Honor Guard
for their participation in the “Presentation of Colors Ceremony”
during the Conference Opening Ceremonies.
Josh Turner (Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians’ Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator)
provided an official “Welcome” to both the conference and to the local community.
North Carolina Emergency Management Certification Presentations
During Tuesday evening’s “2022 Spring Conference Banquet,” the North Carolina
Division of Emergency Management awarded several emergency management
certification levels; recognizing individuals’ efforts to strengthen and enhance
the professional competencies of themselves and their local emergency
management agencies. We are very proud of each of the award recipients……
William Holt (Watauga County) and Kathy Delk (East Carolina University)
received their “Executive Level” certification. In addition, an “Associate Level” certification
was awarded to Dale Chandler (Stanly County) and accepted by Robin Shaver.
