Revised NCEM Certification Application Timeline
The North Carolina Emergency Management “Training and Standards Advisory Board (TASAB)” will soon be adjusting the application timeline for the North Carolina Emergency Management Certification Program. Applications will still be reviewed twice per calendar year by the TASAB; however, deadlines for submission will now coincide with the NCEMA Spring/Fall Conferences beginning in Spring 2023.
To be considered for, and presented with, certification at an NCEMA Conference, application packages should be submitted on or before the last day of the prior conference. For example, applicants who seek to be awarded at the “2023 Fall Conference” must submit all documentation for consideration on or before the final day of the “2023 Spring Conference.”
Implementation of this new timeline will take effect at the “2023 Spring Conference” for “2023 Fall Conference” awards. As the Board transitions to this new process, applicants will still have until January 1st to submit documentation for the “2023 Spring Conference.”
